Global Warming Powerpoint



Introduction


You are part of a team of scientists who has been asked to study the causes, effects, and solutions to the Global Warming Crisis. Your research and findings will be used to formulate policy to global warming.

Task


PowerPoint Slideshow

You will choose one of the two topics below. Once you have chosen your topic, use the list of resources to create a PowerPoint slideshow that illustrates the following:

* how does your topic (wildlife or energy) relate to global warming,
* what are some of the causes of global warming related to your topic
* what are some of the effects of global warming related to your topic, and
* what are some of the solutions to global warming related to your topic.

This activity will take two periods to complete. Due dates will be given out in class.
You will need to create a google doc presentation or a power point attachment to an email in order to save your presentation.

Oral Presentation


You will present your findings to the class in a power point slideshow.

Evaluation

You will be evaluated on the power point slideshow and your oral presentation.

Slides are graded on background, sequencing of information, content / accuracy, spelling and grammar, and readibility of slides in terms of font size, graphics etc. A general guide for length of the slide show is: 4-6 slides = D, 7- 8 slides = C, 9 - 10 slides = B and 11 or more slides = A.

The presentation is graded on you speaking clearly, using complete sentences, enthusiasm, stays on topic, and content. Your presentation should be at least 3-5 minutes in length.

After completing this activity you should know the factors that relate your topic to global warming.
